For Oakley’s FW26 campaign, we set out to answer the question: what makes something ephemeral become eternal? We built a world suspended somewhere between the real and the surreal, where the fleeting and the everlasting could exist in the same frame.

We turned the product into an artifact, encasing it in blocks of ice and treating it with the reverence of a fossil, using engraved details and glacial textures to give it the weight of something ancient. Two figures move through an infinite, unplaceable landscape, a place that could be snow, sand, the moon or somewhere without a recognizable geography. We found it in a remote salt mine in Alicante.

We wanted that ambiguity to live in the image itself, so we committed to an analogue aesthetic and shot the campaign on film. The grain, the softness of the light and the slight unpredictability of the medium gave the world a futuristic quality, making the landscape feel unfamiliar and almost impossible to place.

The film builds toward a total solar eclipse. Each glimpse pulls the rhythm tighter until the climax brings everything together: the artifact, the ice catching light, the eclipse appearing in the lenses the characters wear. The result feels like something found, as if it had been there long before us.
